A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is the eleventh episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's third season which was first broadcast on November 23, 1992.
At Vivan's Lamaze class, Will cozies up to a pregnant sportscaster (Vanessa L. Williams), who takes him to a game, and delivers more than just fun.
When Phillip feigns a back injury to get out of lamaze class, Will reluctantly attends it with Vivian where he meets Danny Mitchell, his favorite sportscaster who takes him to a Lakers game in the skybox. Stuck in a traffic jam while in Danny's limo, she goes into labor as Will becomes freaked out and panic. The limo driver, however, manages to find a doctor and EMTs to help Danny deliver her baby. Later that night, Will tells Phillip how freaked out he was when Danny went into labor but that it was an amazing feeling knowing he was the first thing the baby saw upside down. Inspired by Will's experience, Phillip apologizes to Vivian and agrees to be there in the delivery room, not because he has to but because he wants to be the first one the baby sees.
Meanwhile, the family plays a Whodunit mystery game where Geoffrey, Will and Hilary are shot in the head with a dart gun by a mysterious killer. At the end of the episode, Vivian is revealed to be the shooter as she shoots Phillip in the head after they make up.
