Geoffrey Cleans Up is the sixteenth episode of The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air's second season which was first broadcast on January 20, 1992.

Summary Edit

Geoffrey falls hard for a neighbor he believes is a housekeeper, but who turns out to be very wealthy. There is a subplot where Geoffrey actually cleans the house, hence the title.

PlotEdit

Geoffrey falls for a neighbor named Karen Carruthers who visits from next door and also falls for him as well. After asking her out and going to her house, he discovers that she is not a housekeeper as he originally thought but is actually the heiress of a company and is worth $25,000,000.

Geoffrey refuses to see or speak to her until she comes by and after some help from Will, he accepts her invitation to be her date at an event. However, at the event, Geoffrey begins to perform butler duties on instinct and after Karen tells him he is embarrassing her, he becomes angered again and leaves. Will learns that Geoffrey's hesitation to date her is due to the fact she was born into money as he would have no problem dating someone who had nothing but hit the jackpot one day. Geoffrey goes over and apologizes to Karen, kissing her.

Meanwhile, Phillip is losing clients due to his age. To help himself look younger, Carlton purchases Phillip some toupees. Phillip wears one to the event but while talking to another attendant wearing a toupee, Phillip rips it off and determines that he will win those clients back by his wit and what's on the inside, grounding Carlton until he is also bald.

TriviaEdit

  • The song Geoffrey sings upon noticing Uncle Phil wearing the toupee is "Tutti Frutti" by Little Richard.
