Ill Will is the eighteenth episode of The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air's second season which was first broadcast on February 10, 1992.
The family fears a steamy exposé when Geoffrey begins to write his memoirs, while Will fears the scalpel when he enters the hospital for a tonsillectomy.
Will becomes sick with an infection and must have his tonsils removed. At the hospital, Will befriend his roommate, an elderly patient named Max Jakey who has an optimistic and care-free attitude despite being cooped up in a hospital all the time. After suffering from nightmares about incompetent doctors, Will escapes and goes back home but is busted by Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv when Phil sits on top of Geoffrey's bed. Will is taken back to the hospital (complete with a bodyguard to prevent his escape) and has his surgery. Max later returns to retrieve his lucky hat, having been moved to Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Talking to Will and seeing a nurse come in, he gives Will his lucky hat to keep.
Meanwhile, a butler friend of Geoffrey's gives the family copies of a memoir he published revealing dirty secrets about the family he serves. The butler accidentally reveals that Geoffrey is making a memoir of his own, causing the family to fear the secrets Geoffrey knows. The paranoia causes Ashley, Carlton, Hilary, Phil and Vivian to break into Geoffrey's room and find his memoirs.
