You'd Better Shop Around is the nineteenth episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's fourth season which was first broadcast on February 21, 1994.
Will withdraws from his university classes to become a successful car salesman by the place's owner (Robert Guillaume). His mother becomes furious when she finds out and comes to LA, and gets him to re-enroll at college by threatening to enroll herself.
Will makes a sales pitch to Phillip in order to buy a convertible over the car that Carlton suggests. The owner, Mr. Fletcher, takes notice of Will's salesman skills and offers him a job there selling cars. Mr. Fletcher ultimately talks Will into working there full-time and dropping out of school, making him do hard decisions such as firing his brother Harrison, which Will does after some reluctance.
Unable to talk Will into re-enrolling to college, Vivian calls Vy who drags Will out of the dealership by his ear and forces him back into ULA. Phillip tells Will he should find a job that brings out his most valuable skills to show his self-worth, not something negative just for money.
- At one point in this episode Uncle Phil eats a sponge(he thought it was a fat free cake at first).
